‘Social’ marketplace approved at university’s North West Cambridge Development
The latest stage in the largest single development in Cambridge University’s history has taken another step forward, following the approval of new community facilities.
The £1 billion North West Cambridge development includes more than 3,000 new homes, a new primary school, hotel, Sainsbury’s supermarket and 100,000 square metres of high-tech research and development space.
This week formal approval was granted for the ‘market square’ which will form the centrepiece of the site’s community facilities, which will be known as Eddington.
