Planning consent granted for Oxford Student Accommodation
Planning Consent has been granted for the refurbishment and extension of a 1960s student accommodation building at University College, Oxford.
Freeland Rees Roberts worked closely with Oxford City planners to secure approval for the scheme, which will provide additional student rooms and communal kitchens, with disabled access, and dramatically improve the energy use of the building.
Designed to preserve the character of the existing building and respect the surrounding heritage assets, the alterations include new external insulation, replacement fenestration, new rooftop extensions built with SIPS (structurally insulated panels) and new photovoltaics.
