Second phase of Student Accomodation starts at station – Cambridge

Construction of the second phase of Cambridge’s station area development has begun.

Hill Residential is building 169 flats as part of the cb1 scheme – 19 in Spillers Mill, once fire damage from 2009 is repaired – and the rest in four residential blocks up to seven storeys tall.

The apartments will be accompanied by shops and restaurants, plus public open space and artwork, including an interactive sound sculpture by musician and artist Jem Finer called Supercomputer, which celebrates Cambridge’s role in the history of computing and the creation of a new city home for Microsoft elsewhere in cb1 …
