Boarded up Plymouth city centre pub could make way for 200 student flats
A boarded-up pub in Plymouth city centre could be bulldozed to make way for flats housing nearly 200 students. Plans have been drawn up for a “landmark” £12million, eleven-storey tower beside Drake Circus Shopping Centre.
The block, with 177 student beds, would be built on the site of the former Good Companions pub in Mayflower Street.
The once popular venue, known by many as ‘The Goodies’, closed down in 2009 after around 40 years in business …
