Bradford Student Accommodation BREEAMiest building in the world

A new student accommodation complex at the University of Bradford was awarded the highest BREEAM Outstanding rating in the world in September.

The £40m, 1,026-room student village The Green gained a Sustainability score from BREEAM of 95.05 per cent, meaning the development beats more than one million other buildings that have been assessed under the scheme since it was launched in 1990.

The score speaks for itself in terms of the amount of technology that has been employed to allow the building to reach this level of sustainability. But unlike many residential buildings, The Green faced the challenge of having a chance in occupants every year.
