City flats set to be approved despite objections – Glasgow

More than 200 objections have been lodged to plans to build student flats near two listed buildings in Glasgow city centre. Property and estate management firm Inehaze has applied to build a seven-storey tower at the junction of Renfrew Street and Rose Street. The site, next to Fleming House where the company is based, is close to the A listed St Aloysius Church and the B listed Glasgow Film Theatre.

Inehaze wants to create 85 student flats with a ground-floor shop – a move welcomed by Glasgow School of Art bosses who say there is a shortage of student accommodation in the area …
