Opposition to another new student development in Bangor

Councillors in Bangor have again stated their concerns over student flats appearing close to the city centre.

The latest application is a renewal of a previous application from 2006 by UPA Developments, which would see the demolition of existing buildings and erection of a new building to provide 24 flats at Neuadd Deiniol, and Wayside on Holyhead Road, opposite Bangor Railway Station.

At a meeting of the city council’s planning and amenities committee this week, town clerk Gwyn Hughes referred to the previous application and recommended that councillors again refuse it …
