Gatehouse inks $52.4m UK real estate deal
Gatehouse Bank, a subsidiary of Securities House Kuwait, said Tuesday it had acquired the UK headquarters of hotel chain InterContinental, in a transaction valued at £32.65m ($52.4m).
The contract brings the property portfolio of the London based Sharia-compliant bank to £160m ($256.8m), following three deals for student accommodation in the last eight months.
