Building work starts on £17m student accommodation in Derby
Building work has begun on a nine-storey 244-bed student accommodation block in Derby city centre.
The £17 million complex is being built next to the existing copper-clad University of Derby law department on the corner of Ford Street and Agard Street.
Plans for the massive student block were given the green light in November 2015. The developers, Jensco (Derby) Ltd, also secured permission for a stair connection to nearby Friar Gate Bridge, which is to be transformed into a “community space” …
