710 bed Northside student pans lodged – Belfast
Plans have been submitted to construct 710-bed student accommodation in Belfast city centre. The proposal is part of a wider multimillion-pound scheme designed to create more than 1,500 jobs in Northern Ireland.
Northside Regeneration, which was selected by the Department for Social Development in October to take forward the objectives of the Northside Urban Village Regeneration Implementation Plan, has submitted plans to build the property on Donegall Street.
The development will represent a “significant investment” in the future of the city and Northside, which is a partnership between Balfour Beatty and local property developer Kevin McKay, hopes it will be a catalyst for the redevelopment of an area which has “suffered from under-investment for a number of decades” …
