Work starts on £13.5 million student flats in Derby city centre
Work is under way on a £13.5 million block of student flats in Derby city centre with the first people set to move in ahead of next year’s September term.
Plans for the 350 en-suite flats were given the go-ahead last month the site of the former Sixt Car Hire depot, in Cathedral Road.
Martyn Hicks, director of Leicester-based DW Hicks Building Co, behind the construction of the site, said people would see the U-shaped building taking shape over the next 18 weeks …
