Regulator ‘could have prevented Cosmopolitan crisis’

The English social housing regulator could have prevented the Cosmopolitan Housing Group crisis through more effective routine regulation in the 2000s, a report published today has said.

A report commissioned by the Homes and Communities Agency, and carried out by consultancy Altair, traced the problems which led to the near collapse of Cosmopolitan Housing Group in 2012 and 2013.
