Bangor City Council objects to plans for more student rooms

Plans to build more student accommodation on Bangor High Street have been objected to by city councillors.

The plans for 137 High Street, which have been submitted by GW Jones, from Holyhead, are to demolish the existing buildings and build a new one  housing two retail units on ground floor and 49 student bedrooms above with parking areas, bin storage and landscaping.

But at a meeting of the city council’s planning and amenities committee this week, town clerk Gwyn Hughes said it was similar to other applications which they had already objected to in the past …
