Student accommodation scheme launched for landlords in Ambleside

Ambleside landlords are being invited to turn their property into student accommodation, under a new scheme launched by the University of Cumbria.

Headlease gives landlords the opportunity to lease their property to the university, which, in turn, sub-lets the accommodation to a group of students.

The move is a response to increasing demand for student accommodation in the town, as campus redevelopments will mean that around 400 students will be based in Ambleside by September 2014 …
