Ex-Swip property head joins UK’s first student housing REIT
Gravis Capital Partners (GCP) has launched the UK’s first student accommodation REIT, targeting a total return in the region of 8% to 10% and a 5.5% income yield, linked to inflation.
The GCP Student Living fund will be listed on London’s specialist funds market and seek to raise an initial £50 million.
Its seed asset, a Scape Student Living property in London’s Mile End, is expected to be followed by two other Scape assets located in Greenwich and Shoreditch, also in the capital, taking the vehicle’s size to around £250 million in roughly two and a half years’ time …
