Student accommodation sector gains new voice
The British Property Federation has joined forces with leading student accommodation providers as the sector looks to increase its profile with government, communities and decision makers.
With a record £2.7bn invested in student accommodation in 2012, a 125 per cent increase on 2011, the growing sector now provides accommodation to approximately 170,000 students (HESA 11/12), relieving housing pressures on local communities and playing an important part in the growth that the UK has seen in its higher education sector over the past two decades.
