Universities ‘could face £4.2bn cuts’
A leaked email revealed the true scale of the crippling cuts planned by the Tories in higher education on Friday – a whopping £4.2 billion.
The message to vice-chancellors from Universities UK president Steve Smith, whose organisation is the executive body for higher education, said that the figures outlined on Tuesday in Lord Browne’s review of student funding “confirm our worst fears.”
