Plans approved for student halls – Canterbury

The arrival of more than 200 students into the city centre will have “a positive impact” on the city, university bosses have promised.

Managers at Canterbury Christ Church University spoke after councillors approved their scheme for a purpose-built hall of residence at St George’s Place, replacing the Netto supermarket, Bamboo Tiger and Studio 41 nightclub with Planet Lazer.
