Archaeologists will probe former Victorian school site in Chester

The site of a fire-ravaged school is being cleared before being restored for student accommodation.

Amended plans were submitted in July to restore the former Abbey Gate School, Victoria Road, alongside a new stand-alone block accommodating a total of 128 student rooms.
