Student digs giant UPP appoints NHS property boss as new CEO

Student accommodation giant UPP has appointed NHS Property Services boss Elaine Hewitt as its new chief executive.

Elaine Hewitt will take the top job at UPP at the beginning of April.

A fellow of the RICS, Hewitt has been chief executive of NHS Property Services since 2015, where she is responsible for managing a £3bn portfolio, around 4,000 properties and 5,000 employees.

Prior to this, she held the position of group property director at telecoms giant BT, where she managed the largest corporate portfolio in the UK, delivering services to 7,000 properties globally.
