UPP’s Leeds Metropolitan University wins BREEAM award
University Partnerships Programme (UPP) “eco residence” Carnegie Village at Leeds Metropolitan University has been selected as the UK 2010 BREEAM Award winner in the Multi-Residential category.
The BREEAM awards are given to buildings which demonstrate sustainable design and utilise innovative solutions to minimise environmental impact. Part of the scheme – one townhouse block has also been certified as meeting the “PassivHaus criteria” making it the UK’s first student accommodation facility to achieve this standard of sustainable design.
