Auction sale sees Liverpool Bridewell bought for student accommodation
A former Liverpool prison is preparing for a new sort of inmate.
A Merseyside property company has bought the Main Bridewell at auction and now aims to convert it into accommodation for university students.
The Bridewell, formerly owned by Merseyside police authority, is a Grade II*-listed building and was the city’s main lock-up for more than 130 years.
